My tummy is seriously pooching out. I haven't been eating my midnight snack like I was the first 9 weeks. I would waddle out when Scott got home from work (around midnight) and have a bowl of cereal and a cup of warm soy milk.
I have so much more energy than I was having. I even ran 3 miles, which felt great. I am cooking again (I know Scott and Kekoa are very pleased about this) and have energy to run around and play with Kekoa. I felt like I wasn't really engaged because I felt so sick. It is really nice to be feeling better. Mid-afternoon naps are still my friend, but I don't need to sleep as long, just 20 minutes is great.
Next week we have the big Nuchal Translucency ultra-sound. Crossing our fingers it is all good in there.
Kekoa is back to wanting a "di di". He still kisses my belly and definitely knows something is different with mama. He doesn't ask me to "bao bao" (hold him on my chest) him when we are lying down anymore. He is just too heavy to have him lying on my tummy. I can still "bao bao" (hold or carry him)
as long as I'm not lying down.
It is crazy how much faster my body is changing with baby #2. Everyone says that is the case, but to actually see and feel it happening is crazy. I already can't lay on my stomach, too uncomfortable..with Kekoa that didn't happen for awhile. Just the fact that I am already showing is very different. It took a long time to show with Kekoa. I'll take some pics of the baby bump next week.
baby zamobni's the size of a lime!
Your fetus is about 1.6 inches long, and she's got about a 1:1 head to body ratio. She now weighs in at about .25 ounces.
baby zamboni at 11 weeks
- You can't see it, but she's moving fluidly and gracefully in there.
- Her skin is see-through, but she's on her way to looking more like a baby.
- Her fingers and toes aren't webbed anymore.
- Tooth buds, hair follicles and nail beds are forming.
